Zim optimistic Wall Street fund managers will invest

Finance minister Mthuli Ncube says he is optimistic billionaire Wall Street investors will invest in Zim after hosting them in New York this week.
Ncube, who was in New York, Unites States, last week with President Emmerson Mnangagwa for a UN meeting, said he was confident investors would be flying into the country in the coming weeks.
“American billionaire investors joined His Excellence ED Mnangagwa and team Zimbabwe for an investment dinner meeting on the sidelines of #UNGA in New York. Truly appreciate the investors’ pledge to participate in rebuilding Zimbabwe economy. Looking forward to seeing them in Harare in coming weeks,” he said in a Facebook post.
Mnangagwa is courting investors actively to come and invest in the Southern African country after years of runous policies under former President Robert Mugabe’s rule.
