Stocks hit historic $16.7bn valuation

Stocks surged 13.23% Tuesday to close at a historic market valuation of $16.7 bn as investors piled into stocks amid inflationary fears as the local currency lost value against the US dollar.
The mainstream All Share index continued its bullish trend, gaining a massive 13.23% to close at 151.99 points in a session dominated by heavy weight gains. Old Mutual added another $1.46 to close at $8.84, Delta traded $0.50 stronger at $3.03 and Econet increased by $0.3297 to trade at $2.0371. Innscor also went up by $0.2800 to $1.6900 and PPC traded $0.25 firmer at $1.55.
Trading in the negative was British American Tobacco which traded $3.50 lower at $28 and NMB Bank which lost $0.0033 to settle at $0.15.
